Raising funds for PE Teacher

While we have many fundraising opportunities throughout the year, we have made commitments to school programs that would be cut should all our funds need to be repurposed for the PE program. We are first looking inward to find the resources to support the PE program and asking our Lenz families if there is anything they can give to help us reach our goal of $12,000. Any excess funds raised will go towards renewing the technology across the campus.

Please consider making a donation to the Lenz PTA in the name of the PE Program. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. You can use EIN: 94-2862191 for a tax deduction on your contribution.

Please make your checks payable to Lenz PTA and write “PE program” in the Memo line; or you can pay via our PayPal account at http://bit.ly/LenzPTA

Letter from Principal Dave Keller

Dear Lenz Elementary School Community,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Lenz Elementary School and to join this extraordinary school community. I hope that this letter finds you enjoying the remaining days of summer and that your children are looking forward to a wonderful school year at Lenz. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them a first-class learning environment.

Many of my recent conversations with staff and families have centered around student safety around the school and surrounding neighborhood. Remember, always provide our students with the right of way, remembering that school age children do not always demonstrate safe decision making. Lenz staff works diligently each day to ensure student safety throughout the day. I find myself reminding Lenz students to be safe, responsible, and respectful both at school and home. Please help us encourage our students to use neighborhood crosswalks and those in our parking lot. Parents, please remember do not leave your vehicle while in the drop off/pick up areas. Additionally, remind our youngest students to be safe in the front grass area after school.

In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to more effectively communicate with parents and community members. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2019-2020 school year.
