Amazon Smile Holiday Shopping Fundraiser

AmazonSmile is available at https://smile.amazon.com on your web browser and can be activated on the Amazon Shopping App for IOS and Android phones. Shop at smile.amazon.com and Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to your favorite organization - no fees, no extra cost. PTA 2021 Jog-A-Thon

Lenz PTA is excited for our annual Jog-A-Thon, which will be on Nov. 5th.

Open Chair & Volunteer Positions Available!

Open chair positions:

  • Jog a thon- organizes annual jog a thon (held in early fall)
  • Carnival Co-Chair- helps in organizing school carnival (held in fall)
  • Grand Gala- annual child/parent dance (held in spring) 
  • VIP breakfast- help organize annual complimentary breakfast students get to bring a favorite person (held in fall)
  • Grandparents breakfast-help organize annual complimentary breakfast students get to bring a grandparent (held in spring) 
  • Secretary- must attend PTA meetings and takes notes (monthly) 
  • Membership- organize memberships and collecting dues (ongoing thru the school year)

Open officer positions

  • Assistant treasurer- assists Treasurer in handling and dispersing funds. 
  • Vice President- assists president in organizing and shadowing, takes over as president the following year

Lenz 2021 PTA Read-A-Thon!

Hello Lenz Families!  We are excited for the Lenz 2021 PTA Read-A-Thon!  The Read-A-Thon will run from March 1-10.  To help track your student's minutes and have fun along the way, please see the attached pdf for a Reading Log as well as instructions on how to register for the Read-A-Thon. After registering, directions for entering minutes can be found here

We have some great prizes for our students thanks to our 2021 Lenz PTA Read-A-Thon sponsors and the generosity of so many Lenz families.  Our Read-A-Thon strives to include all of our Lenz students, so there are many ways to win, including: by minutes, by most donations raised, for classes, individuals and teachers.  All students who participate also will receive a bookmark.  Top prizes are listed below.

Reading Prizes

  • Any student who records 200 minutes read at home from March 1-10 will be entered to win a gift card.
  • Most Minutes Read - Overall: The student who reads the most minutes overall will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card and a Lenz spirit prize.
  • Most Minutes Read - Grade: The student who reads the most minutes in their grade will receive a $10 gift card. 
  • Most Minutes Read -  Class: The student in each class who reads the most minutes will receive a medal. 

Fundraising Prizes

  • Any student who raises $25 dollars in donations will be entered to win a gift card.
  • Most Money Raised - Overall: The student that raises the most money will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card and a Lenz spirit prize.
  • Most Money Raised - Grade: The student who raises the most money in their grade will receive a $10 gift card. 
  • Most Money Raised -  Class: The student in each class who raises the most money will receive a medal. 

Teacher and Class Incentives

  • Each class that raises $500 in donations will earn a pajama day!
  • Most Minutes Read - Grade Winners: The class that reads the most minutes in each grade will receive a trophy to be kept until next year’s Read-A-Thon.   
  • Most Money Raised - Grade Winners: The class that raises the most money for each grade will win Starbucks and Scholastic gift cards for their teacher and Lenz Read-A-Thon spirit prizes.
  • Most Minutes Read Overall: The class that reads the most minutes will be treated to a "Virtual Field Trip" with the Animal Ark.
  • Most Money Raised Overall: The teacher of the class that raises the most money will get to spray the principal with silly string!
